Changing Faces follows the story of Sean J. Marshall, a Colorado man once sentenced to 45 years for armed robbery, a virtual life sentence. Fourteen years into that sentence, Sean was granted clemency.
Told through Sean’s own voice, the film explores how a series of small, destructive choices led to incarceration, and how small, redemptive ones shaped his transformation into a respected leader within the Colorado Department of Corrections.
From the culture that formed him to the one he’s now committed to reforming, Sean’s story offers more than redemption. It offers insight. It challenges assumptions. And it asks us to reconsider how we see those behind the wall.
